Class Placement

Students will be placed in classes according to age, ability and experience. Class size is limited for individual attention. Small student/teacher ratios enable the teacher to better monitor your child’s growth and training. Instructors will suggest when your child needs to be placed in a higher class.

Pointe Class

Placement in these classes is by instructor permission only. It is required that students on Pointe take a minimum of  3.5 hours of ballet per week.

The JSDA annual recital will be held June 9th, with a mandatory dress rehearsal on June 8th. To help defray the costs of the recital (auditorium, personnel, programs, etc.) an admission fee will be charged. Tickets will be available at the beginning of May.

Each class will have one recital costume ranging in cost from $48-$100. Students who choose to participate in the annual recital will be required to purchase a costume picked out by the teacher. The costume fee is due December 15th so that orders may be placed in January. Any students with class additions after December may be charged additional costume fees due to rush shipping.
